Privacy Policy

Who we are

VibeCircle ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Giovanni Mingo. Contact: Giomingo@me.com.

What we collect

• Display name and your 8-digit Vibe Code.
• Current emoji + status text + optional note (≤80 chars).
• Device battery level and charging state (if you enable Share Battery).
• Approximate location, used only to compute distance bands like "nearby" or "in town" (if you enable Share Distance). We never store your address.
• Apple Music currently-playing track + artist (only if you grant permission).
• Daily step count and active calories from Apple Health (only if you enable Share Activity). We read daily totals only — never workouts, heart rate, or raw samples. They are shared only with the friends you choose, are never used for advertising, and are never sold.
• Firebase anonymous user ID and Firebase Cloud Messaging push token, used to send buzz notifications.
• Friends you connect with and which of them you mark as Partner (private to your view).
• Couple photo (Pro feature) — stored locally on your device only, never uploaded.

What we don't collect

• We don't collect your real name, email, phone, address, or photo.
• We don't access your contacts, microphone, or camera.
• We never sell your personal data.

Advertising & analytics

• We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure how well our ads perform. It receives app events such as app open, onboarding completed, paywall viewed, trial started and purchase.
• Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks, it also receives your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and that data may be combined with Meta's data from other apps and websites for ad measurement and targeting. You can decline the prompt, or change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• We also use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics.

Where it's stored

Data lives on Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Messaging) in EU multi-region (eur3). Push delivery uses Apple APNs. We also share the limited data described above with Meta (advertising measurement), RevenueCat (subscription management) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics).

How long

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account from Settings → Delete account, we permanently erase your profile, vibes, notes, and all buzzes (sent + received) within 30 days, and immediately remove your UID from any friend's list.

Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data — email Giomingo@me.com and we'll send a JSON export.
• Correct any data — most is editable in-app; the rest, email us.
• Delete your data — Settings → Delete account, instant.
• Object/restrict processing — Settings → toggle off Share Battery / Distance / Activity / Notifications anytime, and turn off ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• File a complaint with the Spanish AEPD (aepd.es) or your local DPA.

Children

VibeCircle is not directed to users under 13. If you're between 13–17, parental supervision is encouraged. We comply with COPPA and EU Article 8.

Changes

We'll notify you in-app at least 14 days before any material change to this policy. Continued use after the date constitutes acceptance.
